How to use a crypto market scanner with Pulse Scout
MarketScanner product notes · UpdatedA market scanner helps narrow a large list of instruments into a manageable research list. Pulse Scout combines its existing market filters and setup scoring with reference levels and an optional paper session. This guide shows how to check a result, identify stale data and move from a scan to the separate chart workspace.
Open the Pulse Scout crypto scannerA repeatable scan-to-chart workflow
1. Choose the available universe
Open Pulse Scout, choose the supported market group and scan size, then run a scan. Keep the venue and instrument type with each result. A perpetual contract, a spot token and a tokenized stock can have different trading conditions even when their names look similar.
2. Check freshness before reading a score
Wait for the scan to complete and read its time and status. A failed refresh can leave the last successful results visible with a stale label. Those retained rows help you recover context; they are not a fresh recommendation. An unavailable source is not evidence that the market has no activity.
3. Inspect the setup and its assumptions
Read the direction, score, explanation, reference price and invalidation together. A score is an output of the current rules, not a probability of success or a verified win rate. Open Source & paper assumptions to check the candle and fill conventions. The stated paper model excludes funding and slippage.
4. Open the same market in Charts
Use the result’s Open chart link, confirm the instrument and venue, and inspect the context on the separate chart workspace. Compare the reference levels with current data. Use DeepFlow for its supported order-flow coverage when relevant; a spot book is not a complete futures order book.
5. Keep research and a started paper session distinct
A fresh scan does not start trading. Paper entries require an explicitly started paper session and the existing entry checks. The browser must remain open for that session to run. Save notes about the setup and review both favourable and unfavourable outcomes; a small selected set of examples cannot establish a reliable strategy.
Put it into practice
Run a fresh scan. Pick one result, inspect its source and assumptions, and open the same instrument in Charts. Write one reason to keep watching and one condition that would invalidate the idea.
Open the Pulse Scout crypto scannerCommon questions
Is the setup score a win probability?
No. It summarizes the current scan rules and is not a calibrated probability or backtested performance guarantee.
Does scanning place trades?
No. Paper trading requires an explicitly started session. This scanner does not submit live brokerage orders.
Can paper trading run with the browser closed?
No. The current paper engine runs while the page is open and the session is started.
